// AUTOMATED GATE REPAIRS
Fault-finding and repair for automated swing, sliding and bi-folding gates across Hertfordshire and London — for sites where a gate stuck open or shut is a security risk, not just an inconvenience.
The faults we’re called out to most often.
Gate stuck open, stuck shut, or reversing on contact
Slow, jerky or intermittent operation
Remote controls, keypads or intercoms not responding
Motor not running, or running but not driving the gate
Safety edges, photocells or induction loops in fault
Gate off its track or misaligned
Control panel in fault or not holding programming
Battery backup failing to hold charge
Engineers regularly work on swing, sliding and bi-folding gate automation from manufacturers including FAAC, CAME, Nice and BFT, alongside the associated safety devices, access control integrations and intercom systems.
The same disciplined sequence, whatever the hour.
Describe the fault and we'll advise on making the gate safe — including manual release, where fitted — while we head your way.
Mechanical, electrical and control faults are traced to the cause, then confirmed with one fixed price before repair work begins.
Repairs are completed and the gate is safety-tested before we leave, with a service or fault report provided.
Engineers check the full system — motor, control board, safety devices, power supply and mechanical running gear — to find the actual point of failure rather than replacing parts on guesswork.
Where a gate cannot be safely left in automatic operation, it is disabled or manually released and left in a safe, secure position while the repair is arranged.
Gate faults are diagnosed and made safe on the first visit, repaired on the spot wherever possible, and safety-tested before we go.
You will receive a fault report or a service report describing the fault found and the work carried out, and a remedial quotation where further work is needed. See our documentation guide.
