CCTV REPAIRS

CCTV Repairs

Fault-finding and repair for CCTV systems across Hertfordshire and London – for cameras offline, a recorder that’s stopped working, or footage you can no longer rely on.

RIGHT NOW, BEFORE WE ARRIVE

  • No picture or recording? Don’t reset the recorder repeatedly – it can overwrite footage.
  • Need the footage as evidence? Avoid restarting equipment until we’ve assessed it.
  • Camera physically damaged or hanging? Don’t attempt to re-fix it yourself at height.
  • Note roughly when the fault started – it helps us diagnose faster.

FOOTAGE & DATA RECOVERY

Recovery From a Working Recorder Only

We can usually recover footage that’s still present on a functioning recorder or hard drive as part of a repair visit. We don’t offer specialist data-recovery services for a failed or corrupted drive – where recorded footage is critical and the drive itself has failed, we can point you to a specialist data-recovery provider.

SPARE PARTS

Stocked Down to the Hard Drive

The van is stocked to clear the parts behind most CCTV faults, right down to a replacement hard drive for a recorder that has quietly stopped recording. A camera that has to match your recorder’s resolution or protocol is ordered once we’ve confirmed what’s installed.

AGEING SYSTEMS

When Repair Stops Being Economic

CCTV ages faster than most systems on site. Analogue and early HD-over-coax kit can still be diagnosed and repaired, but replacement cameras for those formats are getting scarce, and there’s a point where feeding new cameras into an old recorder costs more than it’s worth. Where you’ve reached it, we’ll say so and price both options – repair now, or replace the recorder and reuse your existing coax, which is usually far cheaper than a rewire.

How We Handle the Call

If footage matters to an incident, say so on the call: preserving what the recorder still holds comes before any repair, and a system left running can overwrite it. The engineer establishes whether the fault sits in the camera, the cabling, the recorder or the network, quotes before starting, and confirms recording and remote viewing are working before signing off. Read how we work in full.

Reactive call-outs start at £135; booked 10 or more days ahead the rate is £105. Multi-camera sites can instead be covered by a commercial reactive maintenance contract, across our standard coverage area. Work carried out with due regard to data protection requirements for surveillance systems – see our accreditations and full pricing.
