// ELECTRICAL FAULT RESPONSE
Reactive fault-finding and repair for commercial and residential electrical installations across Hertfordshire and London — from a tripping circuit to a full loss of power.
The faults we’re called out to most often.
Complete or partial loss of power
Tripping or nuisance-tripping circuit breakers and RCDs
Dead sockets, switches or lighting circuits
Burning smells, scorch marks or arcing
Flickering or dimming lighting
Consumer unit or distribution board faults
Overloaded or overheating circuits
Faults found during routine use or after other trades' work
We work across domestic and commercial low-voltage electrical installations of any age or make, including consumer units and distribution boards from manufacturers such as Hager, Schneider Electric, Wylex, MK Electric and Crabtree, and wiring systems installed to any edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
The same disciplined sequence, whatever the hour.
An engineer answers, not a queue. We'll talk you through making the area safe over the phone while we head your way.
We trace the fault to its cause, not just the symptom, then confirm one fixed price before any repair work begins.
Faults are diagnosed, repaired, tested and properly certified.
Engineers carry test equipment for dead and live testing, insulation resistance, earth loop impedance and RCD testing, so faults are traced to the specific circuit, accessory or component rather than guessed at.
Where a fault presents a danger, the affected circuit or installation is isolated and made safe immediately, even where the full repair has to wait for parts or further access.
Faults are diagnosed and made safe on the first visit, with repairs completed on the spot wherever possible.
Depending on the work carried out, you may receive a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate, an Electrical Installation Certificate, an Electrical Installation Condition Report, a fault report, or a remedial quotation. See what each one covers.
